Try http://www.bigbeagle.com. They are an authorized reseller for godaddy.com but their prices are 20% to 30% cheaper. They have different packages that offer wordpress blogs and SQL services. You’ll be able to find everything you need there.

Like others here I wondered about hostgator too. Searching the net one day I got lucky! I found a coupon that not only gave me hosting for .01 but it gave me $100 in Google ads and $25 for Bing/Yahoo ads! As soon as I finished my site I was able to get traffic because of this. The coupon works with ANY of the plans too even the “hatchling plan”!

To get the discount AND the bonuses use the coupon code “ONLY1REDCENT” at checkout, no quotes.

The majority of free hosting providers are free for a reason. They have major issues somewhere, esp. if there is advertising ads or pop-ups. That will usually scare visitors away as fast as they arrive.

If you’re going to be putting the hard work it takes into making a site, you should just use a cheap host. I used a company that charged 4.95 a month or $60 a year for years with no problem. It’s worth it to never have to deal with many of the gimmicks.
